You can either travel by boat to Mainau’s harbour or by coach, bus or car to the car park on the mainland. A pedestrian bridge leads you directly from the car park onto the island.

Getting to Mainau Island by bicycle is very easy and environment-friendly as the Lake Constance cycle path runs right by the wonderful Flower Island. We’ve a modal modern cycle parking area for you to leave your bicycles or bicycles with trailers as well as lockers for your personal possessions at the mainland car park. We’ve also tools which you can use to make small repairs to your bicycle.

Bicycles are not allowed on Mainau Island!
The Mainau combi-ticket is an all-in-one train ticket, ferry ticket and admission ticket. It is valid for one day only (Monday to Sunday - no time restrictions) for up to 5 people. The Mainau combi-ticket gives you the freedom to arrive relaxed on the picturesque Flower Island in Lake Constance. Your savings benefit: the Mainau combi-ticket includes travel to and from the island by local trains (IRE, RE, RB, S-Bahn) and ferries (BSB) as well as admission to Mainau Island.
The combi-ticket includes admission to Mainau Island and either the VHB-day ticket or the VHB-family day ticket. With this ticket, you are mobile, save on car parking fees and profit from the cheaper combination price: single person € 17,-
The visitor’s card is also a travel ticket within the district of Constance for people staying in accommodation on the Reichenau Island, Allensbach, Radolfzell, Moos, Gaienhofen, Öhningen as well as Steißlingen and Gailingen.

The Euregio Lake Constance day ticket is an attractive transnational ticket. Mainau Island guarantees a 10% discount on the price of a single adult admission ticket only. Visitors showing their Euregio Lake Constance day ticket at Mainau Island’s ticket offices will be entitled to the discount.
