The Comturey-Keller
The Comturey Keller lies directly below the castle. The restaurant’s name is a legacy from the time of the Teutonic Order who came to the island in 1272. The commanders of the Teutonic Order ruled here until 1806. A 25,000 litre, more than 300 year old barrel which originally stood in the castle cellar is now housed in the restaurant. It gives an indication as to the original use of the cellars. The restaurant in the old walls of the historic vault has a Mediterranean flair and can cater for celebrations, weddings or company events of up to 190 people with music and dance.
Enjoy excellent local seasonal dishes either in the historic building, hung with beautiful macro-photographs of flowers taken by Count Lennart Bernadotte, or on the terrace under palm trees with a view across the lake.
