You’ll be surprised at the number of nature experiences on Mainau. There’s lots of fun and entertainment for our smaller visitors too. Our ‘Children’s land’ is packed with attractions: Water World, floral animal figures, a farmyard, petting zoo, pony riding arena, the Lehmann large-scale model railway covering an area of 200 square metres and a large playground considered to be one of the most beautiful around lake Constance.

A new part of the playground complex opened in April 2009 – ‘Blumi’s Lakeside World’. This theme playground has been specially designed to stimulate little children’s mobility and curiosity. They can climb and hide in the rooms and also look and listen closely to things in the new play and experience area.

The ‘Dwarf Village’ is for 1to 4 year olds. It opened in 2002 and has lots of attractions to keep your little ones happy at play.

Spend a day with the family on our Flower Island; in the fresh air of our wonderful rambling park with its own Children’s land and family-friendly restaurants serving special children’s menus.

On a trip like this there are always many things to carry: backpack, toys, snack… . At our entrance at the mainland and harbour we offer handcars during the main season (23 March until 21 October). There is no charge.
