Mainau gastronomy 2010
The Schwedenschenke restaurant, Comturey Keller, Rothaus Seeterrassen, Schlosscafé, Würstle-Grill and Schmetterlings-Bistro are an important part of the island. They serve seasonal local dishes. Gastronomic highlights of the year are: the asparagus weeks in spring followed by the ‘Chanterelles & co’ or ‘Game and pumpkin’ weeks in late summer and autumn. The Orchid Soirée in the Palm House (April), Rose Soirée in the Schwedenschenke restaurant (June) and the Dahlia Soirée in the Comturey Keller (September) are very popular events with music and artistic performances.
