The annual orchid show is considered one of the most important in Europe. This beautiful display of orchids is on show in the Palm House from the second half March.

More than 3,000 cymbidiums, phalaenopsis-hybrids, cattleyas and precious wild orchids are skillfully arranged to show off the wonderful colours and shapes of these fascinating plants. Some are almost transparent, others a shimmering dark purple. Many are seductively perfumed. All-in-all, they transform the greenhouse into a wonderful jungle.

Mainau Flower Year starts with this show of exotic plants which have long since become endemic on Mainau. The orchids enchant visitors time after time.
