The tempting aroma of freshly baked bread welcomes you on entering the island’s “Daily Bread” bakery. Every day, around 300 loaves of Mainau bread are baked; enjoy sandwiches topped with various spreads and an extravagant ham.
Experience bread being made at our show bakery: when the bakers mix together organic wholegrain flour, organic sourdough culture, organic yeast and Lake Constance water to start the leavening process for the Mainau bread. Follow each step right up to the finished 500 gram loaf coming out of the rustic wood-fired oven.
