Mainau Children’s Land

“Water World” in the Mainau Children’s Land is a play area reproduction of the Lake Constance region in the olden days. A stilt-house settlement is grouped around a lake which has an island in the middle. The little houses and towers snuggle close together and are connected to each other by various methods. The hanging bridges make it possible to get from one house to another without touching the ground. Children can get from one side of the lake to the other with a rope ferry or floats. The playground covers 1,100 square metres.

Tip: There is a dryer for wet clothes by the “Eisbrecher” ice-cream stand.

“Blumi’s Lakeside World” is a theme playground for inquisitive 3 to 6 year olds. The authentic lakeside landscape with driftwood, climbing nets, balancing beams and a beaver’s lodge is a play and hide paradise for children. Their mobility is trained in the most natural of ways at play. The second part of the new play landscape is dedicated to phenomenology; a discovery area especially for children with individual rooms where they can see, feel and experience all sorts of things. 

The “Dwarf Village” has been designed specifically for 1 to 4 year olds and has lots of great play opportunities.  Children can romp to their hearts’ content at the cave-like huts; wooden railway and water play areas.
