Mainau GmbH allows taking pictures and filming on Mainau Island under certain conditions. For example, photography is permitted during your visit when the images are for private use only or when the images are used in conjunction with an editorial article published about Mainau Island. However, it is forbidden to use pictures for commercial purposes (calendars, post cards, catalogues, book projects etc.) and to use drones and other aerial devices. Another example is the fact that filming on Mainau Island, other than for private use, is only allowed if the producer obtains prior written permission for filming from Mainau GmbH.
