Palm House

Palmenhaus auf der Insel Mainau

Exotic dream under palm trees

With its majestic palm and orange trees, the Palm Tree House on the island of flowers forms the exotic centerpiece. Over 20 different palm species, including an imposing Canary Island date palm (Phoenix canariensis) that is over 15 meters tall, can be admired here. With its unique architecture, the Palm Tree House creates an incomparable backdrop for flower shows, including the famous orchid show in spring (mid-March to early May) and the fascinating autumn exhibition in September/October.
