Rose-themed events on Mainau Island
When roses make history, Mainau Island becomes the stage: During the Rose Weeks, the queen of flowers takes center stage, just as the park’s founder, Grand Duke Frederick I, intended when he shaped the Italian Rose Garden in the 19th century and referred to Mainau even then as his personal paradise.
Amid fragrant blossoms, Mediterranean flair, and historic garden art, you’ll experience two weeks full of enjoyment, inspiration, and joie de vivre, along with a varied program:
A stylish rose-themed dinner delights the palate, the plant market invites you to discover and take home selected rose treasures, the Italian Evening in the Palm House brings together culinary delights and a southern lifestyle—and on the castle lawn, a game of croquet offers a leisurely summer treat.

Krocket vor Schloss Mainau
Während der gesamten Rosenwochen kann auf der Wiese vor Schloss Mainau Krocket gespielt werden. Krocket ist ein entspanntes Geschicklichkeitsspiel, bei dem Kugeln mithilfe eines Schlägers durch verschiedene Tore gespielt werden müssen. Dafür stehen drei Parcours zur Verfügung.
Die Spiel-Equipment kann von 10.00 bis 16.00 Uhr im Mainau-Servicezentrum gegen 20 Euro Pfand ausgeliehen werden. Gespielt werden darf bis 17.00 Uhr. Krocket ist in Gruppen von bis zu sechs Personen möglich. Erwachsene zahlen 4 Euro, Kinder bis 17 Jahre 2 Euro. Pro Gruppe steht jeweils ein Parcours zur Verfügung, sodass gleichzeitig drei Gruppen spielen können. Die Teilnahme erfolgt spontan vor Ort. Je nach Auslastung sind Wartezeiten möglich.
