Dear visitors,
In May, there’s plenty for our young guests to discover: exciting adventures await on the children’s treasure hunt, while the dinosaurs in Farn und Fuchsie and the Arboretum take explorers of all ages on a journey back in time. And of course, the marble run in Mainau-Kinderland ensures plenty of exercise and even more fun.
In addition, Mainau Island is at its most blooming: rhododendrons are unfurling their colorful blossoms, peonies are making a stunning impression in the Peony Garden, and wild roses add delicate accents along the Wild and Shrub Rose Promenade. A stroll through Mainau’s gardens during this time becomes an immersive experience of nature.
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit our orchid show in the Palm House—here you can take a piece of Mainau home with you, and it’s on display through May 10. In addition, the spring exhibition invites you to experience the season’s diversity.
A special highlight for gardening enthusiasts is our plant market featuring bedding and balcony plants. Starting May 11, a wide selection of flowering plants, fragrant herbs, and plenty of inspiration for your own garden or balcony awaits you at the Butterfly House.
We look forward to welcoming you to Mainau Island in May.
Yours,
Count Bernadotte
