As the days grow longer, many people feel the urge to spend more time outdoors. Spring on Mainau Island is a time of new beginnings, color, and fresh impressions. We have put together four reasons why you should definitely visit Mainau Island in March:
1. Enjoy the first warm rays of sunshine
Sunny spots on the Mediterranean terraces and in the Dahlia Garden invite you to consciously experience spring. The special atmosphere of Mainau Island unfolds here as early as March.
2. Collect steps
Mainau covers 45 hectares, 20 of which are accessible to you. Several winding paths invite you to discover the island at your own pace – whether walking, taking a long stroll or relaxing and wandering.
3. Time for encounters
When crocuses, daffodils, and tulips herald the arrival of spring, Mainau once again invites you to share experiences together: whether on a walk through the gardens or during a break with a view of the lake – here, there is space for exchange and encounters.
4. Marvel at colorful exoticism
From March 21, 2026, our traditional orchid show awaits you in the Palm House. Over 3,000 orchids will bring spring fever to the middle of Lake Constance.
