Café Vergissmeinnicht

The Café Vergissmeinnicht is run by young people with learning difficulties who are on an eleven month job preparation scheme offered by “Pro Integration” which is a part of the Society Gardening for Everyone. Its aim is to develop their social and practical skills. The youngsters work in all areas: from production to sales. The ultimate goal of the job preparation scheme is that these youngsters find an apprenticeship placement at the end of their eleven months here.

Produce from the café’s own garden is mainly offered: herb teas, herbs and elderberry juice- our Mainau apple juice is particularly good.

Enjoy herb cream cheese sandwiches, coffee specialities, Lake Constance water and other refreshing drinks in the idyllic garden lounge. Relax at the cosy seating areas whilst gazing out across the “Garden for Everyone”. This raised flowerbed garden is special in that it is wheelchair-friendly and signposted in Braille.

Countess Sandra Bernadotte was the initiator of the Café Vergissmeinnicht project.
